Prodigy Audio NB3-12D4 12" 800 Watt RMS Dual 4 Ohm Shallow Mount Subwoofer is built for shoppers who need strong bass output in a setup where mounting depth is limited. Sold by AudioSellerz.com, this 12" Prodigy Audio subwoofer is part of the NB3 Series, a shallow line designed to work well under and behind truck seats, in other tight spaces, and in many prefab truck enclosures. Prodigy specifically says the 12" version is only 3.375" deep and is designed to perform well in extremely small enclosures.

For the 12" model, Prodigy rates the NB3 at 800 watts RMS and builds it with a dual 4 ohm voice coil configuration. The woofer uses a 3.0" high-temperature 4-layer copper voice coil, a black aluminum voice coil former, an oversized 80 ounce ferrite magnet, and a FEA designed center pole vent to help remove heat from the motor and voice coil gap. It also features a treated paper cone with rubber surround, a strong steel frame, chrome push terminals, and flat stitched tinsel leads.

One of the biggest reasons this sub stands out is that it is made for vehicles where space is always the problem. Prodigy says the NB3 Series really shines in small sealed or ported enclosures, and for this model they list a sealed enclosure recommendation of 1.0 to 1.2 ft3. That makes it a smart choice for truck builds, compact custom enclosures, and installs where you want better bass without giving up all your available room.

Prodigy also lists the NB3-12D4 with 11 mm one-way Xmax at 70% BL, along with the following T/S specs: Re 6.7, Fs 36.200, Vas 29.665, Qes 0.618, Qms 2.266, Qts 0.485, BL 23.96, Mms 189.22 g, and sensitivity 88.9. For fitment, Prodigy lists the cutout at 10 7/8", overall diameter at 12 1/4", and displacement at 0.13 ft3.

Prodigy also promotes a 2 year warranty, a 5-year discounted trade-in program, and says subwoofers ship free by ground in the US48 states, which adds extra value around the product.
